A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Aja Dorsey Jackson always knew that she wanted to be a writer. She attended the University of Maryland, College Park and Towson University, earning a degree in Mass Communications with a Journalism focus. Prior to pursuing a career as a freelance writer, Aja worked for several years as a marketing professional and grants writer. Through her work, she learned how to take her writing creativity and skill and turn it into focused, attention-grabbing copy.
Today she balances a successful career as a freelance writer with her life as a wife and mother. In addition to lending her writing expertise to small businesses and non-profits, she enjoys writing creative non-fiction and short stories. Aja lives in the greater Baltimore area with her husband, two children, and one very interesting cat.
